Advance Global Gathering 2026
As a movement, we love to gather! Every second year we prioritise a gathering of as many of our partner churches as possible. Something happens when we meet together from across the oceans to be mutually strengthened and encouraged. God is glorified in these moments, and we are shaped and unified as a movement.
Global Gathering 2026 is happening in Somerset West, Cape Town in March next year and bookings are open!

Venue: The Refinery, Home of New Generation Church, Somerset West, South Africa
Dates: 10 – 13 March 2026
(We’ll gather from late afternoon on Tuesday 10 March to lunch on Friday 13 March)
Visas: For those needing visas, please begin applying now as this can be an onerous process.

Accommodation:
Accommodation is not included in the ticket price. We highly recommend booking accommodation within a 15km radius of the venue (in Somerset West or Strand). This map details a number of hotel and AirBNB options within that radius. Click on accommodation names for more information on pricing as well as for website links. Certain areas would be deemed less safe and have been shaded in on the map. If you are considering accommodation that is not on our list, we recommend entering the address into the map to ensure it does not fall into a less safe area. If you are unsure, you are welcome to email global2026@advancemovement.com for our input.

Transport:
Ride-hailing and metered taxis
- Uber is widely used, reliably available from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) to Somerset West. Pickup points are clearly signposted in the app.
- Bolt (similar to Uber) also operates locally.
Shuttle and transfer services
- Wolf Shuttles: reliable private shuttles from CPT to Somerset West and around town—ideal for groups or sightseeing trips.
- Helderberg Shuttles: A locally based, fully licensed company operating out of Somerset West.
- GO Shuttle / A2B Charters: service airport-to-Stellenbosch/Somerset West—great for individuals or groups.
Car rental
- Major rental desks on-site: Europcar, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty, Sixt, Firefly (Hertz), CarWiz, Global Rent A Car, U-Save, Bluu—many offer competitive weekday/weekend rates (~$15–30/day)
- Off-airport options (e.g. Rentacheapie) provide pick-up shuttles and often cheaper daily rates (~R250 for airport transfer + low rental) rentacheapie.co.za.
Tip: Booking roughly 30 days ahead usually gives best prices; dropping off at airport or Somerset West is easy .
