In recent years, we\u2019ve seen how God has been at work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, bringing renewal to churches, leaders, and ministry networks across Lubumbashi and Likasi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What began in 2023 through a relationship between one Congolese pastor and Advance leaders has developed into a growing network of churches being shaped by biblical teaching, leadership training, and a renewed commitment to the gospel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past two and a half years, church leaders from across the region have gathered regularly for teaching, discussion, and application. As a result, many churches have experienced significant change. Leaders have moved away from unhealthy models of leadership and embraced elder-led churches marked by humility, accountability, and servant-hearted care. Others have turned from prosperity teaching and a culture of celebrity leadership to a deeper commitment to Scripture and gospel-centred ministry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One testimony captures this transformation particularly well. Jefferson Mulongo, formerly the leader of a church of more than 5,000 people, encountered the training and became convinced that reform was needed. In a remarkable step of humility and conviction, he resigned from his position and entered a process of personal and ministry renewal, seeking to rebuild on biblical foundations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside these changes, churches are growing in prayer, caring for widows and orphans despite significant poverty, and planting and strengthening churches throughout  the region.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
