The Gauteng Hub recently ran a 4-week training series for children’s ministry leaders and parents with young children. We caught up with Helga Schneider, God First Parks, who was part of the organizing team.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helga, who was the training aimed at?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, we had our first children\u2019s ministry conference for the Gauteng hub. This arose out of a need expressed in the fraternal relationship we have with the kids leaders in the Gauteng hub – most of whom work full time and do not have the capacity to train and equip their leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we were planning another children\u2019s ministry conference, but had to rethink how we were going to do it during lockdown. Most churches have driven children\u2019s ministry home this year, as we do church online, and this gave the impetus to extend the scope of the conference to include parents and ministry leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
